Executive Board

Officers

President: Johanne Nichols is a senior at the University of New Hampshire and is pursuing a double major in Finance and Economics. Originally from Concord, NH, Johanne is entering her third year as a member of the group. During her junior year, Johanne was the sector leader for the Healthcare sector, and during her sophomore year, she was an analyst in the Macroeconomic Strategy Team and the Healthcare sector. This past summer, Johanne interned at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York, NY as a summer analyst and will be returning as an analyst after graduating. Johanne is involved on campus through the Paul Scholars program, as a member of the professional business fraternity in Paul College, Alpha Kappa Psi, and the Financial Partners Program.  

Portfolio Manager: Jobin Chavez is a senior from Portsmouth, NH, pursuing a BS in Finance. Throughout Jobin's time in the Atkins Investment Group, he has served as an Analyst in the Technology and Energy Sectors, overseen AIG Recruitment efforts, and led the Energy Sector in the Spring of 2023. During his time at UNH, Jobin has been involved on campus through the Financial Partners Program and Internship Opportunity Fund. He has previously interned in Commercial Banking and Consulting roles, and currently works as an Equity Research Intern for Bradley, Foster & Sargent.  

Vice President: Aidan Rolfe is a senior at the University of New Hampshire and is pursuing a major in Finance and minor in Economics. Originally from Portsmouth, NH, Aidan is in his third year in the group where he holds the role of Executive Vice President. Previously he served as a consumer discretionary analyst and communication analyst and sector leader. On campus Aidan is also a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed business fraternity, the director of finance of the economics club, as well as a Paul Scholar and Presidential Scholar. For the summer of 2023, Aidan interned at Jordan Park Group as a Financial Analyst and will return as a full-time analyst in the summer of 2024.

Chief Economist: Gracie Hoadley is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Economics. Originally from Windham, NH, Gracie is a third-year member of the group where she will hold the position of Chief Economist. Previously, she served as a Healthcare analyst, Consumer Discretionary analyst, and the sector leader for Consumer Staples. On campus, Gracie is a Paul Scholar and involved with the co-ed professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. This past summer, Gracie interned at JPMorgan Chase in Boston, MA as a Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries Summer Analyst and will be returning as an analyst after graduating. 

Vice President of Operations: Jacob Emerson is a senior pursing a B.S. in Finance and Information Systems and Business Analytics. This is Jacob’s third year in the group, he currently serves as the Vice President of Operations and REITs Sector Leader. Before joining the REITs sector, Jacob led the Healthcare, Energy, and Technology sectors. Outside of the group, he is a senior member of Alpha Kappa Psi, UNH’s Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity and served in the UNH Student Senate. Jacob is passionate about impact investing, advancements in technology, and becoming fluent in Spanish and French.

Vice President of External Relations: Maiah Seul is a senior from Portsmouth, NH.  She is pursuing dual degrees in Finance and German Language with a minor in Accounting.  Throughout Maiah’s time in the Atkins Investment Group, she has been an analyst in the Consumer Staples and Consumer Discretionary sectors as well as the Technology sector leader. In addition to Atkins, she is a member of Paul Scholars and the professional business fraternity at UNH, Alpha Kappa Psi.   

 

Sectors

Macroeconomic Team

Sector Leader: Gracie Hoadley is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Economics. Originally from Windham, NH, Gracie is a third-year member of the group where she will hold the position of Chief Economist. Previously, she served as a Healthcare analyst, Consumer Discretionary analyst, and the sector leader for Consumer Staples. On campus, Gracie is a Paul Scholar and involved with the co-ed professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. This past summer, Gracie interned at JPMorgan Chase in Boston, MA as a Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries Summer Analyst and will be returning as an analyst after graduating. 

Analyst: Fazla Karim is a Senior from Lewiston, Maine, pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. This past spring, he spent the semester studying aboard in Lisbon, Portugal, through the Study in Portugal Network Program. His experience abroad was unforgettable from the relationships and experiences he built and the various countries he’d travel to, Marrakesh, Morocco being his favorite. This past summer, Fazla is interned under the International Core Value team at Federated Hermes in New York City. On campus, he is a brother of the Alpha Kappa Psi, a member of the Financial Partners Program, and a member of the Paul Inclusive Leadership Fellows. During his free time, he likes to travel, try new foods, and spend time with friends. The best advice he can give reflecting on his time in college is to go out of your comfort zone and say yes to opportunities that may allow you to become a better version of yourself.

Analyst: Alexis Tuten is a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and International Business. As this is her first semester with Atkins Investment Group, she is excited to gain new foundations and experiences to prepare her for her future career. In addition to Atkins, she is a member of HerCampus, a student run and led news page, Women in Business, and she is also a peer advisor at UNH’s Financial Aid Office. Originally from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Alexis loves the outdoors, spending most of her summers working at the docks and, in her free time, hanging out with her friends on the lake.

Basic Materials

Sector Leader: Colby Sherwin is a junior pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Accounting. Originally from Brentwood, NH, Colby is in his second year in the group where he will oversee the Basic Materials sector and hold the role of Director of Recruitment. Previously, he served as an analyst in the Healthcare Sector and the Macroeconomic Strategy Team. In his free time, Colby enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.

Analyst: Chris Kajunski is a Junior from Needham, Massachusetts. Chris is majoring in economics and minoring in history. This will be his third semester with Atkins. Chris is interested in expanding his knowledge of the stock market and working in the basic materials sector this semester. Chris is a member of the University of New Hampshire’s honors program. He enjoys playing for the UNH club hockey team, working out, and going on hikes.

Analyst: Zachary Kim is a junior from Los Angeles, California. He is pursuing a degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration. This is his first year with Atkins, where he will be a member of the Basic Materials group as an analyst. Zach is also a student-athlete and plays on the football team at UNH. He is excited to expand his knowledge of the stock market, investment, and portfolio management. Zach previously attended Kenyon College. In his free time, Zach enjoys going to the beach, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. 

Consumer Discretionary

Sector Leader: Aidan Rolfe is a senior at the University of New Hampshire and is pursuing a major in Finance and minor in Economics. Originally from Portsmouth, NH, Aidan is in his third year in the group where he holds the role of Executive Vice President. Previously he served as a consumer discretionary analyst and communication analyst and sector leader. On campus Aidan is also a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed business fraternity, the director of finance of the economics club, as well as a Paul Scholar and Presidential Scholar. For the summer of 2023, Aidan interned at Jordan Park Group as a Financial Analyst and will return as a full-time analyst in the summer of 2024.  

Analyst: Joey Venditti is a sophomore from Natick, MA, pursuing a BS in Finance with a minor in Economics. This being Joey’s first semester in The Atkins Investment Group, he is very eager to expand his knowledge in finance and investing. Joey is currently a brother and the professional committee head of Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed professional business fraternity. In January of 2023, Joey was a finance intern at EPG Incorporated and that continued into the summer of 2023 and January of 2024. In Joey’s free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, fishing, and participating in intramural sports. 

Analyst: Tilde Kandell is a sophomore from Leksand, Sweden, pursuing a major in Analytical Economics and a minor in Global studies.  This is her first semester in The Atkins Investment Group, and she is very excited to gain more knowledge in finance and investment.  In addition to Atkins, Tilde is also a Rutman Fellow and a UNH alpine ski team member. In her free time, she likes to spend time outside with friends. 

Consumer Staples

Sector Leader: Maiah Seul is a senior from Portsmouth, NH.  She is pursuing dual degrees in Finance and German Language with a minor in Accounting.  Throughout Maiah’s time in the Atkins Investment Group, she has been an analyst in the Consumer Staples and Consumer Discretionary sectors as well as the Technology sector leader. In addition to Atkins, she is a member of Paul Scholars and the professional business fraternity at UNH, Alpha Kappa Psi.  

 Analyst: Jayme Carr is a sophomore from Kingston, Massachusetts. She is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Economics.  This is Jayme’s second semester in the group where she will continue to be an analyst in the Consumer Staples Sector. In addition to Atkins, Jayme is a Paul Scholar, member of the Women in Business club and is on UNH’s club softball team.  

Analyst: Ryan Juliano is a sophomore from Bedford, New Hampshire. He is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an option in Finance. This is his first semester with the group where he will be an analyst in the consumer staples sector. Last year he played Division 1 Baseball at UConn and gained business experience through NIL deals. Ryan is excited to be a part of Atkins and to gain more knowledge about the world of investing and to open up new opportunities. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, and skiing.

 

Energy

Sector Leader: Wilton Geissenhainer is a Senior from Goffstown, NH pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an option in Finance. This is his second year in the Atkins Investment Group and first year as a sector leader. During his time in the group, he has been in the Fixed Income sector and really enjoys it. Wilton is also starting his second year as a Resident Assistant at UNH. He enjoys helping his residents when they need it and hosting fun social events for the UNH community. In his free time, Wilton plays guitar, likes to cook, snowboards, and plays basketball among other things. Wilton is also a brother in Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity on campus. Finally, Wilton is currently looking for a job post-graduation within the finance field. 

Analyst: Mons Langaard is a junior from Oslo, Norway, pursuing a major in Finance and Entrepreneurship. This is his first semester in the group where he will be an analyst in the energy sector. Mons is also on the UNH ski team and came to UNH to combine top academics with skiing. Mons is looking forward to diving deeper into the field of finance and expanding his knowledge of investing. Last summer, Mons worked as a claims advisor in Norway, solving different insurance claims cases. In his free time, Mons likes to play golf, spend time with friends, and be active.

Analyst: Paul Dattoli is a junior from Jacksonville, FL. He is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics. This is Paul’s first semester with the group, and he is eager to learn more about the energy sector and valuation process. While Paul isn’t in school or diving with the navy reserves, he enjoys being outdoors, baking, and going to the gym. 

Analyst: Jacob Overton is a sophomore pursuing a dual major in finance and management. Originally from Derry NH, this is Jacobs second semester in the group, and his first in the energy sector previously being a REIT Sector Analyst and is eager to expand his knowledge of investing and finance further. Jacob is involved on campus as an honors student, UNH Dean's List member, as well as several intramural teams. He spent this past summer working at Atkinson Resort and Country Club as a food runner and expeditor. In his free time, Jacob enjoys going to the gym, skiing, and playing golf and basketball. 

Financial Institutions & Groups

Sector Leader: Mick Leahy is a senior from Concord, NH studying Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. This will be Mick’s third semester in the group, having previously been an analyst in the Industrials and Consumer Discretionary sector. This summer, Mick is an investments intern at Vigilant Wealth Management in Portsmouth, NH. Outside of Atkins, Mick is a brother of the Kappa Sigma fraternity on campus at UNH. 

Analyst: Peder Preststulen Nersnaes is a senior from Oslo, Norway majoring in Business Administration with a dual option in Finance and Business analytics. Peder came to UNH to continue his alpine skiing career combined with excelling in academics. This is Peder’s third semester in the group where he will be a member of the financial institution group as an analyst. For the 22/23 season, Peder acted as a captain on the men’s ski team. Additionally, he has occupied his free time with being a tutor for other student athletes to help them be successful on the field and in the classroom. When not in the mountains nor the class room, Peder likes to cook, read books, play tennis, golf and bike. 

Analyst: Mike Stoddard is a sophomore from Concord, NH studying Business Administration with a concentration in finance. This is Mike’s first semester in Atkins. Outside of Atkins Mike likes to hang out with his friends, go to UNH hockey games, and play golf. Mike is extremely excited to expand his knowledge of finance. 

Health Care

Sector Leader: Jacob Buban is a senior from Stratham, New Hampshire, and is pursuing a dual degree including a BS in finance and BA in economics. This is Jacob’s third semester in the group, and his second semester as a sector leader. Previously, he was an analyst in the healthcare and utilities sectors. During this past summer, Jacob worked as a finance intern at Lindt & Sprüngli. In his free time, Jacob enjoys golf, basketball, and skiing.   

Analyst: Matthew Darby is a Senior from Exeter, NH pursuing a dual major in finance and economics. Matthew is entering his second year as a member of Atkins. Previously, he served as the Energy sector leader. This past summer, he completed an equity research internship with Public Consulting Group in Boston, MA.  In his free time, Matthew enjoys playing soccer and tennis. 

Analyst: Brayden Kearns is a junior from Deerfield, NH, pursuing a double major in Finance and Economics. This is his first semester in the group, where he will be an analyst in the healthcare sector. Brayden is also a member of the Division I track and field team here at UNH. He looks forward to expanding his knowledge in the field of finance and economics. Brayden is set to Intern as an Investment Operations Intern at Bracebridge Capital this upcoming summer in Boston MA. 

Industrials

Sector Leader: James Schneider, a Minneapolis, Minnesota native, is a senior studying Analytical Economics. James also competes on the University of New Hampshire’s Division I NCAA Ski Team. As a second-year sector leader passionate about finance and economics, James is exuberant to absorb more in regards to analyzing and making judgement calls on securities. Additionally, James works as a tutor for the University’s Economics Department with over three-hundred hours and twenty-five students. His free time involves visiting the coast and hiking mountains.

Analyst: Dominic Rainville is a junior from Montreal, Canada majoring in Finance and Accounting. Dominic previously held the title of Basic Materials Analyst and will be an Industrials Analyst during his second semester in the group. Additionally, he also competes on the UNH Division 1 alpine ski team and will be working this summer at KPMG as an M&A Advisory Analyst in Montreal.

Analyst: Amelia Magay is a sophomore from Bedford, New Hampshire and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. As well, she is dual majoring in Arabic. As this her second semester in the group, she is motivated to expand her knowledge of investing and the global macroeconomy. Additionally, she is an Army ROTC cadet, Alpha Kappa Psi member, Paul Scholar, Hamel Scholar, and teacher’s assistant for microeconomics. In her free time, she loves to read, practice Spanish, and cook.  

Technology

Sector Leader: Dylan Barriero is a sophomore from Norfolk, MA. He is majoring in Business Administration with a dual option in Finance and Information Systems & Business Analytics. This is Dylan's second year in the group, previously in the consumer discretionary sector now positioned in technology as the sector leader. He is excited to grow his equity research skills and knowledge for investing. On campus, Dylan is a Paul Ambassador and a member of the UNH chess club. On his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and working out. 

Analyst: Collin Murphy is a senior from Winchester, Massachusetts pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Information Systems & Business Analytics. During his time at UNH aside from Atkins, Collin has worn many hats serving as Treasurer and Alumni secretary for his fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha, Residential Assistant for on-campus housing, financial assistant for the Student Activity Fee, and Treasurer for the UNH Sailing Team. For the past year and for the summer of 2023, Collin has continued his role as an Insights & Data Intern for Bottomline Technologies in Portsmouth, NH. In his free time, Collin enjoys skiing the White Mountains, Surfing at Rye Beach, and Sailing in Boston Harbor.

Analyst: Ian Lidster is a senior from Hooksett, NH perusing a dual degree in Finance and Marketing. Originally from Hooksett, NH, Ian is entering his second semester as a member of Atkins. Ian spent his summer interning at the New Hampshire Tech Alliance while also serving as a part-time waiter at Shorty’s Mexican Roadhouse. Outside of Atkins, Ian holds various roles such as treasurer of UNH’s Marketing and Advertising Club, Marketing Director of UNH’s Entrepreneurship Club, and Vice-President of his fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha. In his free time, Ian loves to enjoy nature by boating on the lake, hiking the white mountains, and skiing in the wintertime.  

Communications

Sector Leader: Olivia Graves-Witherell, is currently a senior at the University of New Hampshire pursuing a degree in Analytical Economics with a double minor in Chinese Language and Dance. Originally from Westborough, MA, Olivia is completing her third year with the Atkins Investment Group as the Communications Sector Leader. In the past, Olivia has served as Communications Sector Analyst, Macro Strategy Sector Analyst, Technology Sector Analyst, and Consumer Staples Sector Leader. On campus, Olivia is a Paul Scholar and Co-Captain of the UNH Ballet Company. The past two summers Olivia interned as a Product Management Intern at Fidelity Investments within both Personal Investing and Workplace Investing.  

Analyst: Benjamin Garvin, is a junior from Derry, NH pursuing a major in Finance with a minor in IT. This is Ben’s second year in the group as he previously was an analyst for the Industrials, Consumer Discretionary, and the Utilities sectors. In his free time Ben enjoys playing chess, researching personal investments, and spending time with his friends

Analyst: Liam O’Toole, is a junior from Foxborough, MA pursuing a BS in Finance with a minor in Accounting. This is Liam’s first year in the group, where he will be an analyst in the communications sector. He looks forward to joining the group and expanding on his finance and investing knowledge. In his free time Liam enjoys hanging out with friends and family, watching sports, and going to the gym. 

Utilities

Sector Leader: Trent McGoldrick, Is a junior from Fairfield, CT pursuing a BS in Finance and Entrepreneurship. This is Trent’s second year within the group after a two-semester tenure within the energy sector. Trent serves as director of event planning for Atkins and is looking forward to his first semester as a sector leader. In his free time Trent is an expedition leader for Outdoor Adventures and is the founder of the pickleball club at UNH, he enjoys being in the outdoors and improving his martial arts skills. 

Analyst: Tyler Baker, is a sophomore from Westford, MA. He is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Finance and Information Systems and Business Analytics. He will utilize the skills required for his major to help him excel in the Atkins Investment Group. As a utilities sector analyst, he will look to further his investment and equity research skills to help him succeed in his role. In the future, Tyler hopes to start his career in investing or wealth management. Outside of the Atkins Investment Group, Tyler is a player on the UNH Club Baseball Team and a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.

Analyst: Spencer Cutt, is a sophomore from Pittsford, NY. He is pursuing a degree at Paul in Business Administration with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting. This is Spencer’s first year with the group, he is looking forward to learning as much as he can in his first year and growing as a professional. He is looking to gain experience in this group that will aid in his career moving forward. Outside of Atkins, Spencer is a member of multiple clubs on campus and is a member of the executive board of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.

Real Estate Investment Trusts

Sector Leader: Jacob Emerson is a senior pursing a B.S. in Finance and Information Systems and Business Analytics. This is Jacob’s third year in the group, he currently serves as the Vice President of Operations and REITs Sector Leader. Before joining the REITs sector, Jacob led the Healthcare, Energy, and Technology sectors. Outside of the group, he is a senior member of Alpha Kappa Psi, UNH’s Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity and served in the UNH Student Senate. Jacob is passionate about impact investing, advancements in technology, and becoming fluent in Spanish and French.  

Analyst: Ava Buckenmaier is a junior from Milford, MA pursuing a BS in Finance with a minor in Economics. As this will be her first semester in the group, she is eager to expand her knowledge of finance and investment strategies. In addition to Atkins, Ava is a member of the Chi Omega sorority on campus and currently works as the Paul College FIRE Program Intern. Previously, she also spent time as a teaching assistant for an Intro to Microeconomics course. In her free time Ava enjoys reading, going for walks, and spending time with friends and family. 

Analyst: Aiden Giarnese spent his previous semester in Shanghai, China to supplement his studies in Analytical Economics and Chinese. Having been humbled by top students from around the world, Aiden intends to finish his junior year by building stronger foundations in economics, finance, and statistical analysis. Aiden has interned in NYC as a finance analyst, has studied China’s markets at his internship in Shanghai, and is currently a second-year analyst in the Atkins Investment Group. As much as he enjoys his academics, Aiden would rather chat with you about his favorite adventures and hobbies, whether it be hiking, traveling, writing, or basketball. He’s looking forward to another great semester. 

Fixed Income

Sector Leader: Jackson O'Connell is a senior pursuing a major in Finance and a minor in Sales. Jackson is entering his second year as a member of the group where he will oversee the Fixed Income sector. Over the summer, Jackson interned within the Management Company division of Standish Management located in Boston, MA. During the preceding summer, Jackson was an intern at Balance Wealth Advisors located in Wellesley Hills, MA.  

Analyst: Jonathan Rowe is a junior from Andover, Massachusetts majoring in Finance and minoring in Computer Science. This will be Jonathan’s third semester as a part of the group, focusing on the Fixed Income sector. He’s excited to learn about the different markets and dive deeper into the economy. After graduation Jonathan hopes to work as an Investment Banker in either Boston or New York. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, fishing, and is a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity on campus.

Analyst: Melanie Yelle, is a sophomore from Easton, Massachusetts majoring in Business Administration with options in Finance and Information Systems & Business Analytics and a minor in Dance. This is her second semester in the group and was previously an analyst in the Financials sector. Outside of Atkins, Melanie is a Paul Scholar and member of UNH’s Ballet Company. This past summer, she performed undergraduate research on the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
